The SkyTrax (registered & Patented) is designed for mobile internet applications. It may be installed on a recreational vehicle as shown or on an SUV or any other vehicle which can be parked with a clear view towards the southern hemisphere to connect to a geo-synchronous satellite . The system uses a Starband Modem which is integrated within the enclosure of the SkyTrax. SkyTrax utilizes a GPS receiver to determine dish elevation and skew data. Satellite acquisition is within one revolution of the SkyTrax. The System uses slip rings to provide 12 volt power to the unit thus eliminating any wires to “twist up”. Servo functions include: Dish Azimuth, Elevation, Skew and Cross Pole optimization. If satellite access and cross pole null cannot be accomplished, the system will automatically return to the “stored” position. The Remote Control Module has control of the cooling temperature set point and power off/on with system feedback indicating system temperature and relative receive signal level.
